The nightmare no one really wants in this country is back.
Like a sequel to a bad movie. Is there a possible way to prevent either one of them becoming President?
There is actually…and it doesn’t require an insurrection.

No one seems to want this choice.
The Problem? No two candidates have ever garnered so much negative opinion as these two. They are truly unpopular that various sources estimate that 60%–70% of the country wants another choice.
There may be a few contending Independents or Unaffiliated candidates for President, but this won’t solve the problem unless they win outright with 270 Electoral Votes.
If the Independent candidate doesn’t have support in the House, the decision will likely be for Trump.
A “Contingent Election” as called for in the 12th Amendment*.
A Contingent Election is one where no candidate obtains 270 Electoral Votes. In this case, the top three candidates from the General Election are chosen to be considered for the Presidency.
The decision for President from these three candidates is made by the incoming House of Representatives, with each state’s Representative delegation having one vote.
The winner is decided when he or she obtains 26 or more of the states’ votes.

No Labels and RFK Jr can satisfy the first requirement.
For the second requirement, We Need to Elect Independent Candidates to Congress (or obtain pledges from incumbents to break party ranks).
And thus we have NOT BIDEN, NOT TRUMP as President.
*For completeness, there is the scenario that the House will be deadlocked, so the Senate gets to appoint a temporary President until the House decides finally. There are a few seats we are looking to recruit for Senate to help prevent any strict party vote, though we doubt even a purely Democratic/Republican at this point would choose either of these two.
We are actively looking for candidates, volunteers, and donations. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Please take a moment to consider whether you would be a good candidate for office. (Yes, YOU!) This is a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”
CIV supported candidates MUST agree:
Check out the details on our “MOGWA – Make Our Government Work Again” page.
Our candidates also embrace the culture and profile set out in our Candidate Profile page and support the policies outlined on our Policies page.
We will need many volunteers in each state to:
Please take a moment to consider if you could, as the election season goes into full force, be a volunteer to make this vision a reality.
This is a new Populist movement, and it takes money. We are up against powerful, established, and monied interests.
We use the money you donate and raise for such things as:
While we want to run these campaigns efficiently, these things all take money. Won’t you please take a moment to donate, if only $10, $25, $50 – or if you are able, more.
In closing, I ask you to consider this approach to wake up from this nightmare.
If we come together and we act with resolve, my friends, we are going to change this election.
