Why We Don't Pay for Signatures

We don’t pay for signatures for two reasons:

This creates a conflict of interest to pad ballot petitions with ineligible signatures. This is dishonest, and creates a situation that could jeopardize the initiative.

We want this to a Populist-driven event with citizens making the changes we need -- that people motivate others to sign and build momentum to make this happen.

We all know the problem, and we all know what needs to be done.

As Americans, we have to make it happen.

As Americans, it’s in our DNA to make it happen.

As Americans, we will make it happen.
